We all know how quickly babies grow and change, and the amazing number of things they learn in their first two years of life. The brain is growing at an amazing rate during this time! At some points during brain development, neurons are added every minute with new connections made every second.

While brain development continues into young adulthood, there are sensitive periods when brain development is most affected by experience. Movement or (motor function), is extremely important at this baby/toddler age.
